How to Add Fancy Text to Discord (Names, Bios & Messages)
Discord is one of the most font-friendly platforms out there — usernames, server nicknames, About Me bios, and chat messages all generally accept Unicode text, which is why you'll see so many stylized names in servers.
Display Name vs. Username
Discord separates your unique @username (restricted to lowercase letters, numbers, underscores and periods) from your display name, which shows up in chat and can include almost any Unicode character, including fancy fonts. Style your display name, not your @username.
Styling Your Server Nickname
Per-server nicknames work the same way — right-click your name in a server's member list, choose "Edit Server Profile" or "Change Nickname," and paste your styled text there.
Adding Fancy Text to Your About Me
Open User Settings, go to your profile, and paste styled text into the About Me field. Bold, script, and small caps tend to look clean here since the field displays at a smaller font size.
Using Fancy Text in Messages
You can paste styled Unicode text directly into any chat message. Keep in mind some servers moderate or discourage heavily stylized text in chat for readability, so check server rules first.
